The Vit valley at Aglen
Dupkata
A natural rock arch above the Vit River and one of the most photogenic places around Aglen.
Dupkata is a natural rock arch above the River Vit, in the land of Aglen. The opening stands high above the water and is one of the forms by which the valley is recognised. The arch is of the same limestones that shape the rock forms of the Karlukovo area — the same bed, the same water, the same long thinning of stone. A place to look at and photograph rather than to climb: no route guidance is published for reaching it.
The Lukovit Karst Travel guideAs the village tells it Dupkata is a natural rock arch above the Vit River in the land of Aglen.
