Prohodna Cave (The Eyes of God)
A through-cave near Karlukovo, known for the two openings in its roof called the Eyes of God.
Prohodna is a through-cave near Karlukovo, at the heart of the Karlukovo karst area. You can walk it from one end to the other — which is where its name comes from. What it is known for is overhead: two openings in the roof through which the sky enters the cave like a pair of eyes. They are called the Eyes of God, and sometimes the Spectacles. They have made Prohodna one of the most photographed places in this part of Bulgaria.
